The Eagle and the Lion , USA and UK

July 10, 2016

imageWhy are the eagle and the lion associated as national symbols for the USA and the U.K. respectively?

The use of the bald eagle to represent the USA was put forward in 1782, when a drawing of the eagle was presented to the new Congress. It was accepted. In 1787 it was adopted officially as the national symbol representing authority and statehood. The eagle also has the ability to soar high above its enemies and see them from great distance.

The UK’s association with the lion goes back to Norman times, associated with royalty, nobility and bravery. It has been posited that the royal family descend from the monarchic line of Judah from biblical times , with the lion being the symbol of Judah.

From a spiritual perspective, in times ahead there is a need for prophetic revelation to see and discern what God is saying to The Church, the courage to implement His mandates, and a divine favour and authority to extend His Kingdom. The USA and UK historically have sent more missionaries out into the world than most if not all nations.

Freed from the shackles of the EU the UK has an opportunity to support Israel in a greater way alongside USA, for the two nations to forge a greater alliance, and vitally join forces in the Great Commission. Many of the fires of revival have come from the USA to the UK in recent times. Reading in England is now experiencing revival similar to its namesake Redding California where there is an emphasis on all the Church, not just full time ministers sharing the gospel outside the four walls of the church with many getting saved.

God is giving a new authority to believers for Isaiah 60 and Isaiah 61 to be implemented and invade the enemy’s camp. Great Britain played a major role in defeating Hitler and his antisemitic Nazi regime, but they needed the USA. They came to the rescue of Jewish people. The special relationship between the USA and the U.K. can go to new levels but both countries support of Israel is vital to receiving God’s blessing on it.

The ultimate prize is that God will be glorified through a new co-operation and friendship between the two nations resulting in greater prosperity at every level, and His Kingdom extended as He brings in His harvest.

The UK: Convergence in the year of jubilee

May 23, 2016

2nd May 2016 was a convergence of two great sporting achievements for Leicester in the UK, not just their unlikely Premiership title, but Mark Selby, a Leicester snooker player winning the world championship.

There are two rivers that converge in south Leicester, the river Soar and river Sence. These names mean flow and holy/saintly respectively. The convergence occurs at Jubilee park.

There’s been much talk about the fourth wave of the Spirit having started and going global, with this move representing a convergence of past moves of the Spirit and starting in the Hebrew Jubilee year.

The rivers Soar and Sence are tributaries going into the river Trent the name meaning a river prone to flooding.

In 1934 Arthur Burt had a prophecy about a flood of the Spirit with no ebb that he would see the start of in his lifetime. He passed away in 2014.

Leicester city’s stadium is called King Power and sits aside the banks of the River Soar. Leicester has been dubbed the city of kings. Significantly after centuries the bones of King Richard lll were discovered in a car park in Leicester. This happened in August 2012 a month after the bells rang out in July 2012 for the Queen’s Diamond jubilee and the London Olympics ushering in prophetic words for the UK.

The fourth wave of the Spirit with its convergence of past moves will usher in a kingly anointing as God moves in power through His Church to bring in a great harvest. In this generation God is restoring what has been hidden for centuries. It’s time for the church to arise as kings and priests demonstrating the power of the King of Kings in a time of unprecedented convergence!

Healing miracles lead to salvations in Dudley with video testimony

May 20, 2009

1) Reports 2) Video

1) It has been a very positive time out on the streets. On Saturday I went out with my group from church which I co-lead and we saw the Lord heal and save people. In particular I had been given a word of knowledge by the Lord during my time with Him earlier in the day about spondilitis. As my friend Tim and myself approached this couple we asked them about their physical condition and we got to pray for various ailments. The man confirmed he had spondilitis. As we prayed Jesus touched him, and pain left him as he was able to move more freely. The lady who had arthritis felt better after prayer, and I asked her if one of her legs was shorter than the other. Having seen God touch a young man a few weeks ago by growing his leg, faith was released and she felt tingling and something happening! Tim felt led to ask the lady if she suffered from deafness. She said she did so we prayed and there appeared to be improvement. They both accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Like many others, they had been under the impression that their good works would get them to Heaven but the simple gospel convicted them of their need for Jesus.

Today I went into town and was led by The Lord to a couple who both had problems with tinnitis, and the man suffered with partial deafness needing a hearing aid. I prayed for the lady and she felt The Spirit of God touch her and the tinnitis leave her. I prayed for the man and he could hear much better and the tinnitis left him. I asked them where they thought they were going when they die. Again they thought that good works would save them, but after sharing the gospel, they both accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. They do know of a local church in their locality (which is not Dudley), so if they don’t come to fellowship at our church they may end up there. See this video as they share what The Lord did for them:

Evangelism teaching with video

March 27, 2009

It’s been a busy week. I’ve had the privilege to teach at The School Of Supernatural Living here at Revival Fires. I taught on street evangelism during the week, drawing on The Word and some of my own experiences, and then we went out onto the streets and did some! We saw healings and miracles and one lady accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour! There is a CD available with 75 minutes of teaching in two parts available which I made while teaching students in my church. If you would one, please contact me. I talk about soul winning, maintaining contact with those you meet, and moving in presence evangelism, prophetic evangelism, and signs wonders and miracles. I’d like to put just a sample of that teaching into this blog for the benefit of anyone who wants to touch their world around them with Jesus Christ, and His love and saving power.

Why are we called to preach the gospel? Jesus commanded all believers to do so. Mark 16 verse 15 tells us to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” (KJV) If we love God we will obey His commandments (John 14:15)

How do we approach people: I believe that honesty is better than putting on some kind of churchy mask that people can see through. Of course you can ask people how they are, talk about the weather or something else but at some point you need to ask people if they want prayer or what they think about God, even ask them where they think they are going if they were to die today! I usually tell people that I’m a Christian out praying for people, and ministering to their needs. No one likes someone pushy, a gentle approach is the best. You might prefer to be sat on a bench, or be in a line at the supermarket rather than go up to people on the streets like myself but find what works best for you. It may seem scary at first, but The Lord rewards boldness when it is rooted in faith and love.

Sharing the gospel: Romans 2 verse 4 says that the goodness and kindness of God leads people to repentance. In Matthew 14 verse 14 we see that miracles came out of the compassion of Jesus. Jude 22 tells us to save some with compassion. However verse 23 tells us “save some with fear”. Asking people what their need is is an important way to build trust. Religion turns people off. What people will pick up on is whether we have love. Love never fails. We mustn’t water down the message though. I believe we have shifted in our generation to a gospel more centered around God’s unconditional love than the threat of an eternity in Hell such as was preached in previous centuries. What we need is the unconditional love of God, but we mustn’t be ashamed of the undiluted gospel message. (Romans 1: 16) If people have an encounter with God that leaves them without conviction that they need to truly repent, go to church and get discipled then perhaps we didn’t convey the need we all have as sinners for a Saviour. Sometimes I have asked people where they think they will go when they die. I get a mixture of responses. One of the most common, especially from older people who had a religious experience of church is that they hope that they are good enough to be accepted into Heaven. I then ask people why they think Jesus came to Earth. Many people don’t know! Then I explain, and ask them if they would like to accept the gift of salvation by turning from their sins and giving their lives to Jesus. A number of people have got born again like that.

However we live in a sceptical world that is looking for evidence. Perhaps it’s always been like that because Paul saw the need for people to see “the demonstration of The Spirit’s power” (1 Corinthians 2 4-5) rather than “enticing words of man’s wisdom.” So where people need physical or any kind of healing, ask them if they want prayer. Remember nothing is impossible for God and it is “Christ in you the hope of glory” (See Colossians 1 25-29) who is working through you. As a Child of God you are seated in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2 verse 6) and you can do all things “through Christ which strengthens you”. So don’t disqualify yourself, it’s not about self-confidence, it’s about putting your confidence in God! If you pray for someone and nothing happens, don’t be discouraged. Some healings are gradual. If you notice improvement, then pray a second time. Ask the person if they are feeling something. Often before I pray for someone for healing I will ask The Holy Spirit to touch the person with the love of Jesus, with the love of The Father. If they feel something this increases faith for both of us (see 2 Corinthians 3 verse 17).

The importance of follow-up for converts to become disciples: It’s important to remember that relational evangelism is very powerful, and it’s one thing to make converts, quite another to see newly saved people come into our churches and get nurtured and discipled. What we can do is stay in contact with the people we meet in the marketplace by getting their contact details, and if they don’t feel ready to come to a church service, they might be interested in just meeting for coffee or going to something specially set up for new Christians such as an Alpha course or similar. All we can do is our best, but we must remember that it’s God who brings the increase, and we shouldn’t get discouraged if we don’t see fruit, we are just called to be obedient to God. Let’s never lose the joy of intimate relationship with The Lord by getting too focused on external results that people might judge. In any event, The Lord Jesus is building His Kingdom, we are just the vessels. That means that people may not come into our church, at least not immediately, and we may have to be patient before they turn from converts into mature disciples.

What I would say is spend time with the Lord, seek His face, pray, as you feel lead fast and pray which I believe is a major key to move powerfully in the gifts of The Spirit, worship Him, read His Word so that you have an answer to give people on the street beyond your own personal testimony. Personal testimony though is very important because it’s difficult for people to argue against it. Also Tithe and give, this is one of the keys to ministering under an open Heaven. We need His presence, so seek His presence, seek His glory, and remember that only as we abide in the vine of Jesus Christ can we do anything (John 15 verse 5). Spend time soaking, resting and being still so you can hear His voice and allow Him to fill You with His Spirit, and with His oil. When we hear His voice, He can give us clues as to the people we will meet. This is known as treasure hunting (see Luke 15 :8). For example, he might tell you what they are wearing, where you need to go, and a word of knowledge about them. When you share something that you didn’t know in the natural it opens their heart to the reality of Jesus.

Ministry is the overflow of Your relationship with Him, so get close, cultivate intimacy with The Lord. Remember too that God releases angels to minister with you. Jesus is building His church in these exciting days, and wants to use you to bring in the end time harvest. Be encouraged as you see this testimony of a lady healed of arthritis and accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour. God wants to use you too:

Prayer: Father, touch that person reading now with Your Spirit. Draw them into a deeper relationship with You. Let them receive impartation to move in the fullness of the gifts of The Spirit as they go out and minister to people. I pray for divine appointments, and lasting fruit as souls are won to Your Kingdom becoming disciples and not just converts. Let it be all for Your glory alone in Jesus name Amen

Heavenly invasion as God encounters the lost in the mall!

February 21, 2009

I’ve been going  just outside Dudley recently to a nearby shopping mall with some friends from church, and God has opened up divine apointments and touched people through us because He wants to draw them to Himself.  Last week The Lord drew me to a group of 4 Asian young people. I felt led to ask them if any of them had pain in their body. One young lady confirmed she had painful feet. I prayed and she told me she felt a lightness and the pain just lifted off! I was able to tell her and her friends, none of them Christian, that Jesus is The Healer, and Jesus is The Son of God. I would have liked to talk more but they had to go.

Yesterday we went in again to the mall and had some meaningful contacts. I noticed a group of young people again, three in this case, and The Lord gave me words of knowledge to share with each of them which was good because they doubted the existence of God. This opened their heart to receive prayer. I prayed with one young man, he felt the touch of Holy Spirit, and I led him to Christ, and we agreed to keep in contact even though he lives some distance away from me. The young lady in the group who I had had a word about occult involvement was prayed for by Sarah, one of our group who goes to my church. The young lady confirmed that she had had a family history involving witchcraft. As Sarah prayed she too felt God’s touch, and Sarah led her to Jesus Christ.

There is a sense that while God continues to mature His church through His refining fire, we are on the verge of another wonderful move of God to bring in harvest. Going outside Dudley means that it may not be so easy to bring people into our church although I think this will happen anyway, but Jesus is building His church. The key is to share Christ. Of course we like it when people come into our church, but having been out on the streets for a long time now, I’m aware that people like having a real tangible encounter with God, one of the last things they want is more religion shoved down their throat and a feeling that they are being “recruited” to another organisation. As we build relationships with the people we come into contact with within our sphere of influence, whether that be on the streets, our workplace, our circle of friends, or whereever then people will naturally want to come to our church anyway because they are drawn to “Christ in us, the hope of glory.” Colossians 1 verse 27.

Firestorm hits Revival Fires Dudley , God TV, and touches the nations

September 24, 2008

1) Street evangelism in Dudley September 18th 2008
2) The Firestorm Gathering Revival Fires Dudley September 18th-23rd 2008
3) Street evangelism in Dudley September 23rd 2008

1) September 18th: It’s been long overdue, but the sun came out, and just before the first session of the Firestorm Gathering I went into town to pray and share Jesus Christ with people. Prophetic and presence evangelism helped me to lead two young men through the prayer of salvation. In other words, God gave me information that I couldn’t have known in the natural, and as I laid my hands on them they felt the tangible presence of God. This softened their hearts to The Lord to receive Him into their lives. I also had the opportunity to tell people about the God TV broadcasts of The Dudley outpouring from our church. I saw a group of young people sitting on a bench in the middle of town, and asked them if any of them wanted prayer. Most of them were very sceptical about God. It was challenging because the young people were asking a lot of difficult questions. Through the prophetic I was able to get their attention. Also I told them that if they gave me the opportunity to pray for them, that at least some of them would tangibly feel God’s presence. Sometimes you have to take a risk, God will reward your step of faith!

Also, one young man had a problem with his hand. He challenged me about whether God is real. My concern was that he wasn’t open enough to receive prayer, and God wouldn’t do anything. How wrong I was! God is sovereign and he will break through when he wants to without anyone’s help or hindrance! His love and power touched the young man and healed his hand. I saw that one young woman was an artist and spoke that out. While I didn’t lead any of that group to Christ, I believe I sowed enough seeds for those hungry to pursue God more, and I hope and pray that they will go to our church or another good church in due time. One thing I will say is that I detected a shift in the atmosphere, and it wasn’t just because of the weather. I believe that in Dudley God is softening the spiritual ground, hearts are opening up, and I believe that we will see more miracles on the streets, including salvations, but more than that there will be significant church growth as the harvest of souls are gathered in. You can believe that for your town as well.

2) The Firestorm Gathering Revival Fires Church Dudley September 18th-23rd 2008

It might not be easy to summarize this tumultuous event, other than to say that The Lord is breathing on His church, the igniting and refining fires are cleansing the body of Christ, signs wonders and miracles are returning, and the rain is now going to fall for mass harvest.

The meetings opened with Kevin Prosch leading a time of powerful prophetic worship. Trevor Baker, senior leader of my church had a word about biopsies, and one viewer emailed in to say that that word of knowledge was for them, a lump just disappeared, and they got miraculously healed! People watched the meetings from many nations including countries in continental Africa, Europe, New Zealand, India, Japan, Kuwait, USA, and many more! On the second night during the worship a powerful drumbeat ushered in a time of warfare type worship, and I felt that something had broken in The Spirit. The glory fell, and there were some glorious miracle healings that night and the following night including freedom from eyesight defects, tinnitus, arthritis, leg pain, and a number of other serious conditions. Keith Miller spoke during these meetings about the fire for harvest, and it really felt like Lakeland had broken out all over again! Keith moved powerfully in the prophetic and in the gift of healing, and as well as inspiring many viewers and delegates, he imparted the fire that we all need to carry the gospel to the lost. It really was a blessing to have Kevin and Keith minister during the first half of the Firestorm Gathering.

Many people received healing during the Gathering. Here is just one of the many testimonies of healing miracles on video, an excerpt from one of the God TV broadcasts:

I also want to say that there were awesome times of worship lead by Sharon Baker, and Ryan Baker-Barnes that helped lead people into God’s glory presence. Both Sharon and Ryan are excellent songwriters, and I highly recommend their anointed worship songs for your church. You can get more details on youtube, The God TV broadcasts and the church website http://www.revivalfires.org.uk You can also purchase songbooks with these worship songs.

On Sunday morning Trevor stated that signs, wonders, and miracles are needed for great harvest in our nation of the UK. People are tired of sterile religion, and they want something real. He also emphasised the importance of character and integrity . In the evening it was Ken Gott’s turn to speak, and the emphasis was on the importance of prayer and no compromise. Ken’s church in Sunderland has a 24-7 prayer facility.

On Monday Mark Stibbe gave an excellent talk from Mark 1 9-15 drawing parallels between what Jesus experienced at the start of his earthly ministry, and the church has in the past 14 years. Verse 11 contains the words of The Father to Jesus as he has got baptised in the Jordan “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Mark described this as the revelation in the river which he likened to 1994 when The Father’s blessing hit Toronto and moved around the world. In other words, before anything else, the church needed to know how much God loved them. We can only give away what we ourselves have first received. What is important to remember though is that moving away from performance mentality to having true identity as a child of God takes time, and I believe that all of us can go deeper in that wonderful revelation of sonship.

Secondly, Mark talked about Jesus’s temptation in the wilderness (verses 13-14). In the wilderness our character is defined. We can allow God to refine our hearts through trials. Mark spoke very candidly about this period of his life. This church phase he said was the “devil in the desert.” Finally, the third phase is “the glory in Galilee.” In verse 14 we read that Jesus started his ministry in Galilee, preaching the gospel, and declaring The Kingdom of God. Mark said that with the Lakeland revival having an emphasis on imparting the fire for power evangelism and souls and going around the world it was time for breakout now! If you read my article just before this one, you’ll be able to appreciate that I agree with Mark, we still need the revelation in the river and the refining of our character even as we reach out to the lost.

On the final morning, Ken Gott talked about the need for the whole of the body of Christ to be released into ministering the gospel to the unsaved. He referred to healing on the streets, and even special meetings at people’s houses where people can get healed and saved. One example of this was a brain tumour healed at an elderly couple’s house. If you read this blog and see the video testimonies of healings and miracles you will know that I have a passionate heart for healing on the streets as a very important tool in evangelism. I like the idea of an official council sanctioned regular healing on the streets event in town, taking the full gospel out there for the purpose of showing people how much Jesus loves them through the demonstration of The Spirit’s power. We also need God to use us to touch our unsaved family members and friends, workplace colleagues, and others in our sphere of influence.

The very last session saw intimate worship again lead into a time of miracle healings. Trevor talked about the importance of relationship and friendship to carry the anointing, and said that Lakeland had not finished properly, and the firestorm that has come to Dudley is for Europe and the world, and ultimately we need the rain now for harvest. Trevor referred to Joshua 3 verse 15 with The “Jordan overflowing all its banks during the whole time of harvest.” This scripture has been close to my heart for a long time now, and I believe it is prophetic for the future of my own life, my wife, and our children, but also the body of Christ. In Exodus 33 verse 15 Moses says “If Your presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.” As I go to the streets that is my cry: “Lord, without You, without Your presence I can achieve nothing so fill me with more of You!” In John 15 verse 5 Jesus says ” I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” His presence, His glory changes everything. Our own strength, our own resources are useless to change communities and nations for the glory of God. The good news is that God is pouring out His Spirit in these days, and I believe that we will see more miracles and mass harvest as a result!

3) On the final afternoon of the Firestorm Gathering, September 23rd, I went out into Dudley to minister to people. I approached one young man, and The Lord told me he was a musician who has struggled with a number of issues. I spoke into his life. It turned out that he had a problem with his legs as a result of a car accident a number of years ago. Not only that, but he has suffered with M.S. for a while now. Two french men who had been attending The Firestorm were there, and we all prayed for this young man. He felt the healing presence of God upon him, but most of all the tangible presence of the love of God. I invited him to have coffee in our church coffee shop. He had a few errands to do, but called me later, and we met just outside the church. A friend ran into him, and I spoke prophetic destiny into that young man too. The reality is that both of them have been struggling with addiction. I was able to pray for his friend, and as I did so he felt the manifest presence of God. This is such a key. Wouldn’t it be great if we carried so much of God that even just shaking the hand of an unbeliever caused them to experience God’s glory. It can get even better than that. The very shadow of Peter’s presence caused people to be healed. We can believe for those realms to open up for us in these end days if we really press into God!

The first young man and his friend came into the coffee shop and we had a drink there and I prayed for them again. I lead them both through the prayer of salvation. This was an encouragement, because my prayer has been that people won’t just get an encounter outside the church, but inside! Pray that these two young men would come back, their lives will be transformed, and they will both be free of their addictions.

What a time to press deeper into God, and share the gospel with people in all its fullness. I want to give three quick keys to move in miracles:

1) Intimacy with God in the secret place as we allow Him to touch our hearts.

2) Receiving impartation where God’s glory is, and being in relationship with someone who carries the anointing for miracles.

3) Stepping out in faith and praying for many people who are in need of healing. I believe that as we pray for the unsaved especially, God loves to back up His Word with a demonstration of His manifest power.

Miracle healing of arthritis in Dudley England

August 20, 2008

1) Report 2) Video testimony of miracle healing in Dudley 3) Comment

1) Today I was expecting The Lord to do wonderful things in town, and He didn’t disappoint me! During my prayer time, God had laid on my heart what Jesus Himself had prayed in John 17 verse 18: “As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.” When Jesus commissioned the disciples in John 20 he said in verse 21 “Peace to you. As The Father has sent Me, I also send you.” What an amazing revelation and promise! This is available for each of us so we can show people how real Jesus is. Look at John 14 verse 12: “Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” The ultimate purpose for this Jesus states in verse 13: “that The Father may be glorified in The Son.”
Today I prayed for a man who had recently converted to the Mormon church. He was suffering from psoriasis, and chronic eczema. As I have been healed of eczema many years ago after a word of knowledge from Benny Hinn I always pray with confidence when I pray for someone with skin conditions. As I prayed laying my hands on his hands he felt heat on his legs and told me he also had the condition on his legs which I hadn’t known before. My prayer is that he would discover the true Jesus of the Bible, and not the deception of Mormonism. I prayed for a lady with high blood pressure and a hip problem. After I had done this, a couple approached me asking if I could help them. They had seen me pray for the other lady. This encouraged me because I had prayed for people to approach me and also it meant they must have some faith too to believe for miracles. I could see that the lady was in much pain. She had been suffering with arthritis, particularly in her left leg. I asked her to bend her leg. She could hardly bend it at all without pain. I prayed for her, and the pain left her completely as she felt “the presence of someone else” touch her, and freedom of movement returned! She was amazed as she told her husband how the pain had gone! They both got born again as well praying the prayer of salvation, removing doubt about where they will go when they die. The lady shares her miracle here. See this:

3) The move of God’s Spirit that started in Lakeland Florida and has come here to England and other parts of the world seems to show no signs of stopping. In fact, revival is coming to the UK, and clearly healings, signs, wonders, and miracles will be an important part of it. I want to take time to personally honour my pastor Trevor Baker for his input into my life, and also Todd Bentley of Fresh Fire Ministries who came here while I was on The School of the Supernatural in October 2007, and who God has used so mightily in this current revival. The wonderful thing about the worldwide outpouring and revival is that it is not about any one individual though, but The Lord Jesus Christ building His Kingdom through the body of Christ. Today I watched The Olympics where the Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt broke the 200m world record by running to gold in a time of 19.3 seconds. He had previously won gold in the 100m breaking the world record but what was interesting about this race was that he was focused on the winning line, did not look to the left and the right to his other competitors, and ran flat out to achieve the record. In the same way we are called to surrender everything to Jesus, and as Paul says in 1 Corinthians 9 verse 24: “Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.” Does that involve pointing the finger at others? No, we must “press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3 verse 14)
