The UK: Convergence in the year of jubilee

May 23, 2016

2nd May 2016 was a convergence of two great sporting achievements for Leicester in the UK, not just their unlikely Premiership title, but Mark Selby, a Leicester snooker player winning the world championship.

There are two rivers that converge in south Leicester, the river Soar and river Sence. These names mean flow and holy/saintly respectively. The convergence occurs at Jubilee park.

There’s been much talk about the fourth wave of the Spirit having started and going global, with this move representing a convergence of past moves of the Spirit and starting in the Hebrew Jubilee year.

The rivers Soar and Sence are tributaries going into the river Trent the name meaning a river prone to flooding.

In 1934 Arthur Burt had a prophecy about a flood of the Spirit with no ebb that he would see the start of in his lifetime. He passed away in 2014.

Leicester city’s stadium is called King Power and sits aside the banks of the River Soar. Leicester has been dubbed the city of kings. Significantly after centuries the bones of King Richard lll were discovered in a car park in Leicester. This happened in August 2012 a month after the bells rang out in July 2012 for the Queen’s Diamond jubilee and the London Olympics ushering in prophetic words for the UK.

The fourth wave of the Spirit with its convergence of past moves will usher in a kingly anointing as God moves in power through His Church to bring in a great harvest. In this generation God is restoring what has been hidden for centuries. It’s time for the church to arise as kings and priests demonstrating the power of the King of Kings in a time of unprecedented convergence!

The Overflow of Intimacy in a Company of Believers

April 15, 2014

True ministry has been well described as the overflow of intimacy. What does that really look like? It is a lot more than operating in natural talents and even spiritual gifts. Someone may have come into a gift of The Spirit such as the working of miracles following a time when they were pressing into God in right relationship with pure heart motives, and yet that person’s relationship with God could now be lukewarm at best or they could even be in serious sin. Yet still the gifting flows because “the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.” (Romans 11: 29)

As a number of important prophetic voices have enunciated recently we are at the threshold of the greatest outpouring of God’s Spirit in history, and the true Church’s finest hour to be God’s instrument to bring in a great end time harvest of souls. The preparation process in those believers who have yielded to God has been painful at times but necessary to remove all that would hinder Jesus Christ being the “fulness of Him who fills all in all” (Ephesians 1: 23) through them. New levels of His love, purity, holiness, faith, and humility have been required.

It is easy for a non believer to be impressed with gifts such as prophecy, the word of knowledge, healing and miracles but it will not change them unless they know in their heart that they have had an encounter with Jesus. The world has seen double standards and mixed motives at times when what they have been really seeking is Jesus Himself! That’s why the healing of the lame man in Acts 3 at the Gate Beautiful had such an impact. The key is in Acts 4:13 when the Sanhedrin realized that Peter and John “had been with Jesus.”

It is possible to get more excited about supernatural phenomena that is an outward manifestation of the “parousia,” (greek) the presence of The Lord than The Lord Himself. This could have contributed to revivals being shut down in history when people got caught up with the evangelist and the miracles rather than God. Imagine for a moment that like Peter you were walking on water but you were looking at Jesus. Would you get more excited about the fact you were walking on water or you were looking at the face of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself? Who or what do we treasure most?

God is getting ready to give a new level of “exousia” (greek) which is delegated power and authority to a company of believers to represent Jesus to the world. I believe this has always been God’s desire as we see from John 17:

And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” John 17 22-23

John had the unique privilege to share this most profound prayer of Jesus for His true bride to be in union with Him. It is no surprise that we learn that John was the beloved disciple who rested his head on Jesus’ chest. He would have been able to hear Jesus’ heartbeat, and if Jesus spoke His voice would have resonated through His very being. Being close to The Lord can mean that we not only hear His voice and respond in obedience, but capture something of His very heart. Hearing His voice through a deeper relationship with Him means that God will use the prophetic in a new way. Similarly if we have a fresh passion to see lost souls come home and faith for miracles it is because this is also an outworking of our intimacy with Him.

When we are abandoned to Him we are no longer swayed by either the praise or persecution of man but only His voice. We obey Him in pursuing the assignments and mandates He has for us corporately and within our unique ministry callings out of our love for Him only (John 14:15)

When we adore Him and are fascinated with Him we become desperate for more of Him. In the words of the Shulamite in Song of Solomon we become “lovesick” (5:8) He has truly captured our hearts, now we have surrendered to Him, and He can use us as vessels that are fully possessed by Him and ready to do more than function in gifting but display Him in character, nature, power and virtue. Forerunners such as William Branham and Katherine Kulhman have epitomized what God has planned for His people. He will not just use great high profile evangelists like Benny Hinn and Reinhard Bonnke, but everyday believers like you and me in these exciting days ahead. Holy Spirit abides in every believer, but there is a company who have prepared a home for Christ to dwell in so there is a greater fulness of His anointing activated and expressed to demonstrate the gospel (1 Corinthians 2 4-5) In 1 John 3 24 we learn an important truth:

Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

The English monk Bede 672/673-735 AD helped to translate portions of the Bible from Latin into Old English centuries before Wycliffe and Tyndale. The Amplified Bible has used his translation of part of this same verse:

They let Christ be a home to them and they are the home of Christ.

How much will you and I allow that to happen and see the impossible birthed through the overflow of intimacy?

Being Ready For God’s New Thing

September 3, 2013

When God does a new thing it will always offend tradition and take us out of our comfort zone. Are we ready for it?

Take the 1906 Azusa revival for example. Frank Bartleman, evangelist, had been handing out gospel tracts in Los Angeles when He grew hungry for more of God. He asked Evan Roberts how his city could have a move of God like the 1904/05 Welsh revival. Here’s what Evan Roberts said:

“Congregate the people who are willing to make a total surrender. Pray and wait. Believe God’s promises. Hold daily meetings. May God bless you is my earnest prayer.”

When God hit Azusa Street Bartleman testified about receiving what he described as a “heavenly chorus” entering him, and receiving a supernatural gift. Here is part of his documented testimony about this new thing:

“It was a spontaneous manifestation and rapture no earthly tongue can describe. In the beginning this manifestation was wonderfully pure and powerful. We feared to try to reproduce it, as with the “tongues” also. Now many seemingly have no hesitation in imitating all the “gifts.” No one could understand this “gift of song” but those who had it. It was indeed a “new song” in the Spirit. When I first heard it in the meeting a great hunger entered my soul to receive it. I felt it would exactly express my pent up feelings. I had not yet spoken in “tongues.” But the “new song” captured me. It was a gift from God of high order, and appeared among us soon after the “Azusa” work began.

No one had preached it. The Lord had sovereignly bestowed it, with the outpouring of the “residue of oil,” the “Latter Rain” baptism of the Spirit. It was exercised, as the Spirit moved the possessors, either in solo fashion, or by the company. It was sometimes without words, other times in “tongues.” The effect was wonderful on the people. It brought a heavenly atmosphere, as though the angels themselves were present and joining with us. And possibly they were. It seemed to still criticism and opposition, and was hard for even wicked men to gainsay or ridicule.

Some have condemned this “new song,” without words. But was not sound given before language? And is there not intelligence without language also? Who composed the first song? Must we necessarily follow some man’s composition, before us, always? We are too much worshippers of tradition. The speaking in “tongues” is not according to man’s wisdom or understanding. Then why not a “gift of song?” “

In Azusa there was barely any focus on ministers and on people. No focus on the preacher, worship musicians and songwriters. Even the Pastor William Seymour covered his face with a shoebox. There was a level of humility that recognised that “no flesh should glory in His presence.” 1 Corinthians 1 29

People were that desperate for God, and would pay any price for more of Him. God sovereignly visited them in a way that has changed the world.

Most of us want to be blessed materially and God wants to bless us in that way, but there is a higher prosperity in the Spirit that has not had enough emphasis. There is great danger, especially in Western affluent culture of insouciance, complacency, and pride. We can get satisfied and comfortable with the status quo and not even realise how much we need Him.

God is ready to do a new thing (Isaiah 43 18-19) but are we ready for what that “new thing” is?

The Mountain of Religion in God’s Seven Mountains Strategy for Harvest

February 8, 2013

For those who might not be aware of the Seven Mountain Prophecy it pertains to a strategy that God gave Bill Bright , founder of Campus Crusade, and Loren Cunningham, founder of Youth with a Mission in the mid 1970s along with Francis Schaeffer to see God’s Kingdom touch and reclaim the seven spheres of society, namely economy, government, family, education, arts, media and religion or spirituality. Contemporary exponents of it including Lance Wallnau and Johnny Enlow have received additional revelation and understanding from God concerning it, and I highly recommend getting hold of excellent DVDs and books by those two if you would like further information about the subject.

In this article though I would like to focus on the mountain of religion and how it should be considered to be pivotal in the context of God’s seven mountain strategy of seeing the world reached for Jesus Christ, and not separate.

We live in times that are both exciting and challenging. I believe that the mandate of Isaiah 60: 1-3 for The Church to carry the glory of God to into the world is very timely, and we must position ourselves accordingly. What has been concealed in darkness in the UK has come to the light, now it’s time for God’s glory to be concealed no more, and not just in my nation. His glory is touching all seven mountains, and we are called to impact our spheres of influence.

It is imperative that the body of Christ learn the lessons from history so that they can embrace the new awakening, and see the maximum impact in terms of transformed lives and eternal destinies.

WHAT IS THE MOUNTAIN OF RELIGION?

The word religion is not the most popular word amongst believers and unbelievers. Its negative connotations of man’s control, and sterile lifeless tradition and ritual are the very antithesis of a vibrant Spirit-filled relationship with a loving Father through Jesus. The word “religion” found in Acts 26:5 and James 1 26-27 is the Greek word “thrēskeia” which means both that related to external ceremonies but also worship. So the key is that there is nothing wrong with “religion” providing that it is the expression of a community of believers worshiping God and seeking Him corporately with Holy Spirit orchestrating and infusing all the activity helping us to be “unspotted from the world”. Those called into full time ministry are clearly called to the mountain of religion, but that does not mean that they are not called to other mountains. Similarly I believe that the mountain of religion is not the exclusive domain of those in full time paid Ephesians 4: 11 ministry either.

LEARNING FROM THE PAST

Historically churches shut themselves off from the other six mountains for either selfish reasons, ignorance, or both. As we can see in the book of Acts this was never God’s intention. The hallmarks of a genuine revival should be that it goes outside the four walls of the church to touch the marketplace, and indeed all sectors of society. There has been a danger of separating this mountain from the other mountains though because of the failures of the past in seeing it as effective as God’s primary agent to bring in the harvest. It must be remembered though that a program rather than a presence based approach to taking these other mountains will not only fall flat, but continue to alienate the world from going into a church setting. Pursuing professionalism and a spirit of excellence to touch the seven mountains is not without merit, but woefully insufficient in itself to see the the full emergence of a Kingdom culture that draws men and women to God.

We need The Spirit Himself flowing in and out of the Church uncontained to all the seven mountains in society.

A wrong way to embrace the seven mountain strategy is to assume that the best strategy for evangelism is just to infiltrate the non-church six mountains because the mountain of religion hasn’t worked well enough in doing this. The consequence is a lukewarm church that loses faith in seeing the sick healed, the dead raised, and the belief in visitations and Heavenly encounters to touch the unsaved such as are reported increasingly more in nations of The Middle East and Third World. “Well let’s be relevant to our culture” you might hear people say. I agree with that, but

when people get desperate for God and they experience His manifest presence and power bringing genuine repentance that trumps any culturally relevant program.

THE MANDATE FOR ALL THE CHURCH

It is important to see all seven mountains reclaimed with the corresponding cultural shifts through people excelling in their sphere of influence in the workplace, but only Holy Spirit can save people and draw them into an environment with other believers where they can be nurtured and discipled. First, people need to know more than Christians being successful professionally as important as that is.

Everyone should have a personal encounter with Jesus.

That is why there are more people in the workplace taking a risk in praying for the sick and speaking a word of knowledge over a colleague. Many believers have believed the lie that if they just do their job they can avoid “stepping above their station.” They have forgotten who they are in Christ, and their Heavenly citizenship being relevant NOW to fulfil the Great Commission of Matthew 28: 18-20

The mountain of religion must do more than inform the other six mountains but be inextricably linked and not separate. In Spirit-filled worship there is a divine exchange where God draws near to us (James 4: 8) and as a consequence we can do more than just go out and do our jobs better. Worship is surely the most important part of the mountain of religion. Psalm 22: 3 tell us that God inhabits the praises of His people, and spirit-filled worship is not just the responsibility of the worship team but the whole congregation. When people are worshiping together it can shift the atmosphere not just in the church but in the city, even an entire region! We are changed in worship as we encounter Him helping us to fulfil the two greatest commandments of loving God and loving people (Matthew 22 37-39). From the mountain of religion we can now go to the other mountains with His love, power, and glory.

If all people see is just professional excellence without the reality of God’s love it counts for nothing.

Around 95% of the church are not in full time ministry but called to touch the world through the market place, and there are a variety of ways that God is already doing this. We need films, TV shows, professional sports, novels, schools, wealth creation, and civil laws that glorify God in communicating Jesus. However, I contend from God’s Word that 100% of born again believers are called to another mandate as well which transcends all eras and cultures:

“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” Matthew 10: 8

We no longer live in an age where this ministry is exclusive to the preacher at the front nor should it ever have been. The mandate of the fivefold minister of Ephesians 4: 11 is found in the next two verses and this involves equipping the saints for the work of ministry! Many revivals stopped because they became too focused on the preacher at the front.

It was always God’s plan to find a dwelling place in a body of believers who could take out His DNA, His love, His Kingdom power and all that He is to a lost and dying world  because the body of Christ must be full of Him to overflowing. (Ephesians 2: 21-22)

Unlike the other six mountains that have ministers such as evangelists, prophets, and pastors as the significant displacing authorities, the mountain of religion has Holy Spirit fulfilling this role! That is not to say that there cannot be strong leadership and the right structure of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher within the church so there is safety, true alignment to Heaven and order that brings a revelation of His mandates, but the believer that is called to the mountain of media for example cannot claim exemption from the mountain of religion, and no believer can, because the church is not about a building or an institution but a close community of believers who meet together but also go out into the marketplace. This is why it is essential that there is unity in the Church to bring God’s commanded blessing (Psalm 133) and why Jesus told his disciples that the world would know that they belong to Him by their love for each other (John 13: 35).

It is no surprise that the enemy wants to attack the mountain of religion more than any other.

If we want to see all seven mountains reclaimed then I contend we need to cry out individually but especially corporately for more than just a temporary revival. Often after people have sought God and He has shown up in a powerful visitation or revival, they have forgotten to cry out to ask Him to stay and not leave!

There is a convergence of divine strategies past and present to reach people for Christ in these days, and a need to accommodate this fulness. Above all though, we need a sustained awakening that is so powerful, so supernatural, and so sovereign that there will be an ease in reclaiming the seven mountains represented in Deuteronomy 7:1 and then glorifying Him in them through Revelation 5: 12 We must repent of being critical of the mountain of religion and the missed opportunities through bygone ages, but reclaim this mountain in pursuing God with passion and purpose together. As we do so we will see God infiltrate all spheres of society to bring in the greatest possible end time harvest of souls for His glory.

NEW 1. God heals man’s shoulder in town (video) 2. God entrusting The Church with new authority and anointing

March 13, 2012

It’s been a while since I’ve updated this blog. I’ve been involved with a number of projects which include healing and mercy ministry, equipping, preaching, and teaching. I still enjoy praying for people on the streets though, and I’m excited about the hour we live in which I will discuss in a moment. I’ve had the privilege to head up our Healing Clinic in church too, and help to teach and equip students on our church’s school in the area of healing, and prophetic street evangelism.

Recently I took the students out and while we were walking into town a young man from the local college asked us if we had a light. We do, but not the one he was thinking of! It helped to initiate a conversation with him and his friends. We were able to share God’s love, prophetic words, and release healing. Many other college students gathered, and we were able to reveal that Jesus is alive! Later on in the town centre, a man testified that after prayer his limited blurred vision was much improved, and he gave his life to Jesus.

The man in the above video testifying of how God’s power touched his shoulder, with pain leaving and freedom of movement returning also gave his life to Christ. God’s love is so irresistible! You and me as born again believers can pray and expect God to touch people. We have the privilege to see Him at work at close hand. Let me reiterate, the anointing to heal is for the many not the few!

2. God entrusting The Church with new authority and anointing

Many prophets have talked about this as being a time of kingly anointing and apostolic authority bestowed upon The Church for the purposes of harvesting souls for The Kingdom. I have been especially struck recently by Jesus’ last words on the cross before He committed His Spirit to The Father, and His last words before He ascended. In Acts 1 verse 8 just before He ascended, Jesus tells His disciples that they will receive “power when The Holy Spirit shall come upon you, and you shall be my witnesses” ultimately throughout The Earth. This is for you and me too! I reflected on Elijah and Elisha. Elisha asked Elijah for a double portion of his spirit. Elijah told him that if he could see him ascend that it was his. Elisha’s spiritual inheritance was confirmed when he saw Elijah go up in a chariot and he picked up Elijah’s prophetic mantle.  In John 19 verse 30 when Jesus was dying for us on the cross and about to breath his last, we discover that He said “it is finished.”  The Greek word is tetelestai which is a legal term meaning paid in full. We receive an inheritance NOT based upon our works and performance, but because of the redemptive work of the cross. In Luke 15 29 in the parable of the prodigal Son we learn that the older son is indignant that his brother received an unmerited reward but that he feels he hasn’t despite serving His father and not transgressing in his opinion. The Father tells him “Son you are always with me, and I all that I have is yours.” Luke 15 31 Yes we need to align our hearts rightly before God so we don’t miss out on all that He has for us, and we need to apply Kingdom principles in our lives such as fasting and praying, and sowing and reaping. But let’s be clear: ALL that we receive from God in terms of spiritual inheritance is because Jesus took our sin, and He is building His Kingdom to His glory, and the glory of The Father. If we understand this, we will be protected from the lies of pride and low self-esteem. In fact this revelation causes us to fall even more in love with Jesus and our faith to grow. Consequently we can obey God because we live in the Spirit not in our own strength to try to get something out of God with an orphan mentality. Our inheritance is because of our identity, our legacy because of our lineage.

God wants to entrust The Church which is the body of Christ on this Earth (Ephesians 1 22-23) with an inheritance of walking in the full anointing that Jesus walked in when He healed the sick and raised the dead on this Earth. As long as we are responsible, not squandering our inheritance, not using it with impure and selfish motives, but using it to glorify Him out of humble obedience rooted in faith and love then we can expect to see the promised “restoration of all things” (Acts 3: 21) in terms of The Church rising up in unity, apostolic authority, and kingly anointing. If we put Him first, point people to Jesus, and trust Him, then all things are possible. Jesus only did what He saw The Father doing in Heaven (John 5: 19) and Holy Spirit spoke with the authority of The Father bringing glory to Jesus (John 16 13-14) Jesus lived to glorify His Father (John 17: 1) In past revivals such as in the 1950s and 1960s there became to much of a focus on the healing evangelist rather than on The Lord. As a result the anointing did not spread to The Church (Ephesians 4:12) as God would have liked. in Joel 2: 28 God promises to “pour out His Spirit on all flesh” to release the heart of The Father to touch the world. While the fivefold ministry and apostolic structure very much still have their place in the modern Church, it is imperative that believers stop disqualifying themselves from being used by God because they do not feel they are sufficiently anointed or empowered for harvest. God wants the mature sons and daughters of God to rise up with His authority in this hour (Romans 8: 19) and release His love and miracle working power to touch cities, regions, and even whole nations. Jesus paid too great a price for this not to happen. We may feel inadequate and in ourselves we all are, but Colossians 2: 10 tells us that “we are complete in Him.” Philippians 4: 13 tells us that we “can do all things through Christ which strengthens” us. We are overcomers because He has overcome! It is time to press into God through praise and prayer, deep intimate worship, listening to His voice, and surrendering our lives completely to Him. Ultimately though, we must believe that He desires to use us in healing. How can we know this? He has commanded us in Matthew 10: 8 to heal the sick, and even to raise the dead!  The enemy has been allowed to lie  to The Church effectively for too long! There are many hurting needy lost people out there who do not know about Jesus. Let’s tell them, and most of all show them! Let’s be the gateway individually and corporately for His glory to bring in His full inheritance that He has paid for that He alone may be glorified!

Fresh oil coming to the body of Christ

October 2, 2010

As I was waiting on God, I saw a large lorry going over an ice road carrying large quantities of oil. The lorry had to stop as the ice was getting thinner, and the sheer weight would cause it to sink. In season the ice had hardened up, was deep and secure, and the lorry was able to continue its journey to its destination. I asked The Lord about this and He showed me that the immense amount of oil was not to be carried by one or a few individuals but a whole body of believers but only when the foundations were secure, and the field to carry His power to was the world. In the natural in recent times, we have already seen the consequences of wasting oil. God does not want us to waste what He pours into our lives. (See Proverbs 21: 20)

We read about the dietary staples in the Old Testament of Israel, giving a picture of our complete dependence on The Lord, and foreshadowing what is available to us now through Jesus, the bread of life, and Holy Spirit living in us giving us the new wine of His presence and anointing oil:

Psalm 104 verse 15 “ Wine that makes glad the heart of man, oil to make his face shine, and bread which strengthens man’s heart.”

Without the anointing of Holy Spirit and the presence of Jesus Christ we have nothing beyond the temporal to offer those outside the church. Jesus reminds us of that:

John 15 verse 4: “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.”

The Greek word for fruit is karpos which is used not only in the context of the fruit of trees, but also it refers to someone’s progeny and posterity. The greatest commandment is to love God “with all our heart, soul and mind” (Matthew 22 verse 37), but the greatest legacy we can leave are the people we have touched with His love and truth, believers and unbelievers alike. God wants to shine forth His glory through The Church because as the darkness grows in the Earth in these days, His light must come forth speedily:

Isaiah 60 1-2 “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.”

We need wisdom and discernment to shine His light into those dark places. As we read the parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10 I believe we are given a paradigm for harvest for these days through the symbiotic flow of mercy and miracle ministry:

Luke 10 verse 33-34 “But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.”

Here we see how oil is connected with healing. People can be touched by the wine of His presence and the anointing oil of His Spirit through believers and be set free from their sicknesses, sorrows and sins because The Church has risen up to be “the fulness of Him who fills all in all.”(Ephesians 1 verse 23)

RELEASING HIS OIL IN LOVE

The Lord reminded me of the aga cooker we had when I was a child. This required coal to be ignited. If there was oil in a pan ready to cook food it would be productive only when heated up. When we are truly ignited by God’s love the anointing oil that we carry will be most productive (see Matthew 14 verse 14-21) . When we have His love and compassion for people the miraculous can be birthed very quickly. Miracles demonstrate more than the reality of Jesus Christ, but flow out of the very heart of God, the intense unquenchable passionate love that He has for each individual. This is what people must discover through us.

A SECURE FOUNDATION

I believe that The Lord has much fresh oil ready to pour into His Church. Some is available now, but there will be much more after He has built an even stronger and more secure foundation of love, intimacy and identity in Him, faith, mature character, a culture of honour, and apostolic relationships so that the anointing will be carried responsibly in alignment with His plans and purposes. He is continuing to strip away what can be shaken:

Hebrews 12 verse 27 “And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.”

When this secure Kingdom foundation is in place, we can believe that The Church will arise with the oil of anointing and horn of authority:

Psalm 92 verse 10 “But my horn you have exalted like a wild ox: I have been anointed with fresh oil.”

When this happens it could span a whole generation rather than just be a temporary visitation as in former times if previous mistakes are not made. In a number of moves of God there became an excessive focus on one individual, usually the evangelist so people opened themselves up to deception and even idolatry. Believers must take responsibility not to miss Heaven’s blueprint, to enter His timeline for harvesting, not leave it just to those in platform ministry. In Ephesians 4 verse 12 we see too that an evangelist has a responsibility not just to the lost but must use their office and gifting “for the equipping of the saints, for the work of the ministry, and for the edifying of the body of Christ.”
What was omitted previously does not need to happen again so visitation can become habitation. As we treasure Him above all else we treasure His presence more than the air we breathe, and He will entrust us with more:

Psalm 92 verse 13-14 “Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing.”

The Hebrew word for fat in verse 14 is dashen which can literally mean full of sap and is also used in the context of trees as in Jesus’ discourse on the vine in John 15.

A HABITATION OF HIS GLORY

God wants to tabernacle with us, the many not just one or two, as we prepare a holy habitation for His glory to abide in. In John 1 verse 14 we read about Jesus, the living Word becoming flesh and tabernacling among us. Numbers 11 verse 8 tells us that the manna provided in the desert to the Israelites tasted like oil. Jesus is the bread of Heaven, and He is literally the anointing oil because He is Christ, the anointed One and His anointing! Rather than just reside in a tabernacle made with human hands, God wants to tabernacle with us on a personal level. It is our ultimate destiny as believers! (see Revelation 21 verse 3)

What starts as a trickle can transition into a torrent if we lay hold on all He has for us. It is interesting that the Jewish new year 5772 which runs from September 2011 through to September 2012 contains the Hebrew character “bet” for two which is also Hebrew for house. Jacob had a dream where he saw a ladder from Heaven to Earth with angels descending and ascending. When he awoke he named the place “Bet-el” which means the house of God and anointed his pillow, a large stone, with oil. Today many believers dedicate a new house or church to the Lord by anointing the doors with oil. Oil is used as a point of contact between Heaven and Earth.

God is putting His House in order, in apostolic alignment, and building a strong foundation for corporate divine authority where Heaven is released on Earth. In many churches worship is going to new levels, and corporate prayer is intensifying. Churches that treasure Him, that treasure His presence above all else can believe for more signs, wonders, healings and miracles within meetings. He is restoring the Tabernacle of David (Amos 9 verses 11-12 and Acts 15 verse 16-17) which means a restoration of intimate communion with God through a lifestyle of worship and intercession. We can become more of a habitation of His glory. Consequently God is allowing His House, His Church to carry His glory to impact the world in increased measure. Just as church buildings house His glory, and many are healed in the atmosphere of worship during corporate meetings, and that is vital, so too we as individuals must house His glory.1 Peter 2 verse 5 exhorts us to be “built into a spiritual house.” We must be a habitation of His healing and delivering presence, carrying the anointing that breaks yokes.

LAVISHING OUR LOVE ON JESUS

Consider Mary in John 12 verse 3 anointing the feet of Jesus with the costly oil of spikenard so that “the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.” When we lavish our love on Jesus sacrificially and unconditionally not to get anything out of Him we end up getting more of Him! Consider the widow in 2 Kings 4 verse 2 with “nothing in the house but a jar of oil.” She gives it to Elisha out of obedience to God then gets many jars full of oil to put into her house in return. To those who have been faithful, He will give more oil to be housed and released!

He wants to saturate us with Himself because He loves us, but people can soon discover that we have been in His presence ( see 2 Corinthians 2 verse 15 and Acts 4 verse 13 ), then they no longer see us, but Jesus. Through being intimate with God in the secret place being soul winners for Jesus Christ is not something we do so much as who we are therefore. We have learnt to house His glory as we have surrendered our hearts wholly to Him. As laid down lovers of Jesus, touching others with His love and power is merely a by-product of intimacy consequently.

OUR INHERITANCE AND LEGACY

People must experience Jesus both inside and outside the church. We carry the anointing oil in greater measure when we are truly carrying Him! That is why we can take Jesus at His Word:

John 14 verse 12 “Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do He will do also, and greater works than these will he do, because I go to my Father.”

If the next move of God can be sustained through a generation because it has been built on a secure foundation, we can leave a legacy for our children so that our ceiling can truly be their floor, so this is a time to press into God and all that He has for us, and believe for as high a ceiling as possible!

It is the body of Christ’s inheritance to receive fresh oil. Romans 8 verse 17 tells us that we are co-heirs with Christ, or to put it another way co-heirs with The Anointed One and His anointing! Distractions, discouragements and doubts can limit the flow of anointing, but as we seek His face just because we love Him, and He alone satisfies the deepest desires of our heart, so our faces will shine radiantly with His oil as we reflect His glory to the world. In Romans 8 verse 19 we see the potential that can be realised as a body of believers walk in their full inheritance:

“For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.”

Why not this generation?

As you align yourself with God and His purposes for you, be ready for fresh oil to touch your life!

2008 review : the church empowered as miracles hit the streets in the UK and around the world!

December 8, 2008

Review of miracles on the streets  in 2008 with video footage, and the challenge for the church in 2009!

It was December 1994. My health had deteriorated, I’d split up with my fiance, and I didn’t want to live anymore. On December 10th I attempted suicide with my world shattered. Perhaps seconds from death, and a lost eternity someone rescued me and called for the ambulance. I still don’t know who it was, but I know they were Heaven sent. Half way across the world in California on the very same day, my wife to be, who I had never met at that stage, was attending the funeral of her late husband who had been mugged in Los Angeles. Within four years we were married as hope and destiny returned again. This year we celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary. I love her more than anyone, except the one who gave His life for me nearly 2000 years ago, The Lord Jesus Christ.

If Christ  gave up everything to come into this world to die for you and me, what is worth sacrificing everything for? What is truly worth getting excited about? I get excited when I see Newcastle FC and the Minnesota Vikings win which happen too infrequently for my liking! But what really excites me is knowing The Creator of the universe, glorifying Him, knowing His love, and seeing Heaven break into Earth,   the supernatural intervening as a higher reality than natural law. I get excited when I see someone else experience God’s touch on their lives, and coming to know Him too. That’s worth fighting for, surrendering everything, even dying for. The wonderful thing is that every human being on planet Earth was created to know Jesus, and not only that, but be used as a vessel to see His miraculous touch break into other people’s lives. As I share some highlights from this year, I want you to know that God wants to use you in the coming year to bring Heaven to your sphere of influence.

in 2008 we saw a powerful outpouring of God’s Spirit hit the Western world for the purposes of empowering the worldwide church to evangelise the lost, not least through signs, wonders, and miracles. It brought opposition, controversy, failure, and a challenge to the church to get refined, yet despite this a lot of fruit and grounds for much optimism as we go into the new year. God is depositing His very glory into regular people like you and me, and releasing His gathering angels, so that His Kingdom will be extended. The question is do we let the new wine get old and stale? Of course we need new wineskins, but what will we do with the treasure we’ve been given in 2008?  As I share highlights of my street ministry activity in 2008, be encouraged that God wants to use you too because Acts 10 verse 34 tells us that God is no respector of persons ( Acts 10 verse 34 and Romans 2 verse 11) . To God alone be all the glory.

2008 review: On April 7th my wife Sasha and I went into town to share the love and power of Jesus Christ with someone. Sasha called out an elderly man for me to approach. He told us that he didn’t live in Dudley, and was legally blind in one eye. We prayed for him, and the power of God touched him. He gave his life to Jesus Christ. Here is his testimony recorded seconds after the double miracle. (apologies for the picture quality which was limited before June) :

Earlier in March, I had prayed for a lady stone deaf for over 10 years in her right ear, and Jesus had healed her ear. She testified about 2 weeks later:

In June Sasha, myself and a friend prayed for a group of people, some of whom got miraculously healed and saved. Here is one testimony:

One man testified of healing from a terminal lung condition after prayer, having had confirmation from his doctor!

One young woman, not a believer got touched by Jesus as we prayed for her in July. See the miracle unfold here:

There is much more video footage and testimonies, if you are interested go to the monthly archives on the right column of the blog.

I’ve done this blog to show people seeking spiritual truth that the answer is found in Jesus Christ. I want to motivate and encourage all Christians to share their faith, and pray for the sick and infirm, as well as releasing His presence and the prophetic, the demonstration of The Spirit’s power ( 1 Corinthians 2 verses 4-5). God wants to use all believers in the end time harvest of souls. If you have never received an impartation to move in Kingdom power to release healing and miracles then there is a prayer at the end of this blog entry for you to receive what God has for you. Then, the challenge is this: will you take a risk for Jesus in the coming year? Too many people are dying without Jesus, we need to share His love and power like we never have. We need to get closer to The Lord through spending time with Him, there is a need to fast and pray, we need to allow Him to refine us, but when all is said and done, we must not hold back anymore through feeble false excuses in reaching out to the lost. People may not feel worthy or anointed, but if they’re born again, then Jesus Christ (The anointed one and His anointing) lives inside them! Do I consider myself worthy to carry an anointing to move in signs, wonders, and miracles? Do you?  Well is anyone? The wonderful mystery revealed through God’s word is that He calls all of us to be His vessels. Let’s use what He’s given us, and believe for the greatest demonstration of His miracle working power. This could be the greatest hour for the church! It is time for her to rise up in maturity, authority, and power and take ground! Here is my prayer for you. Receive all that God has for you by faith:

“Father,  release Your healing anointing and Your fire to those who want to share their faith with love and power to the unsaved right now. Give them a fresh hunger and passion for Jesus Christ. Let them pursue new levels of holiness through the sanctifying work of Holy Spirit. Through intimacy, let them know Your voice, and be obedient to the great commission. Let them know you in a deeper way, and let Your love for them overflow into people’s lives. I pray for boldness, and divine appointments. Let Heaven touch Earth. Send Your angels to gather in the harvest. Empower Your people for Your glory Lord in Jesus name Amen.”

Now use all that God has given you to release within your sphere of influence.  Be persistent even if you don’t see immediate results. God is faithful to confirm His Word. May God bless you in the coming year, and thank you for visiting my blog. Please pray for me and my family, our church and our community, and don’t forget to check back for updates. “For God nothing will be impossible.” Luke 1 verse 37

Worship, intimacy, and the levitical inheritance

October 10, 2008

Today I want to look at the single most important key to seeing miracles, intimacy with God. James 4 verse 8 says “Draw near to me, and I will draw near to you.” What attracts God to us most? I believe it is praise and worship. I’m not just talking about the songs we sing on a Sunday, important as that is, but a whole lifestyle of worshipful consecration unto The Lord. 1 Peter 2 verse 9 says “but you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light.” I want to talk first about how praise and worship can release the atmospheric realm of God’s glory where sickness and disease have to flee in His Holy presence, and then the whole area of consecration where we as part of the royal priesthood live for Him alone where like the levitical priests, HE alone is our inheritance.

Psalm 22 verse 3 says “But You are Holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel.” God inhabits the praises of His people. We are to worship Him “in Spirit and truth” (John 4: 23-24). We cannot do that without the precious presence of The Holy Spirit. As we honor Him, give Him the glory due to His name so we forget about ourselves, even who’s ministering in music or who wrote the song we’re singing but we just focus on the beauty majesty and glory of Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit, and The Father, we surrender our hearts and our whole being to God. As we love upon Him, there is wonderful divine exchange that comes where He comes and touches us. Andy Park, worship leader and songwriter once said that we don’t worship Him to drum up His presence, we worship Him for who He is, but God is attracted to our praise and worship. Benny Hinn has learnt this, and that is why worship is so important in his miracle service meetings, and why many people get healed during worship without anyone laying a finger on someone sick to pray for them. Likewise many people got healed in the atmosphere of worship in Lakeland Florida without the leader praying for someone. So too at Revival Fires Church Dudley, my home church many people have been healed in the atmospheric realm of His glory during the worship time and signs and wonders have happened too as gold dust and precious jewels have manifested. Worship releases angels into the atmosphere too, and God uses these angels as “ministering spirits” (Hebrews 1: 14) to bring His healing and deliverance to people. Recently my pastor Trevor Baker interviewed our worship leader Ryan Baker-Barnes about how important worship has been recently during the Dudley outpouring which is still going. See this:

I also want to highly recommend a new CD to you of live worship from the recent Firestorm Gathering which was broadcast internationally through God TV which features original songs by Sharon Baker and Ryan Baker-Barnes. You can get more details about this and information about upcoming outpouring meetings and conferences at http://www.revivalfires.org.uk

Before I go out to the streets to minister I like to spend some time in praise and worship, and even when I’m there in town I start quietly praising God as well as praying because I believe that this can and does release more of Him, and therefore more of Heaven into the atmosphere. Sometimes when the outreach has been tough going and I’ve starting thinking negatively, I will start praising Jesus and declaring His Lordship and His victory over darkness and disease. We must never forget that miracles point to Him, and they are for His glory alone. God wants us to love Him first and firemost, more than miracles, more than ministry, more than anything He must take first place in our lives. If we focus too much on what comes from His hand, and even the vessels He uses we will miss it in God.

Worship and intimacy go hand in hand because they are about close relationship. Good relationships take time. Like seeds sown into good soil, they need to be cultivated. As we spend time with The Lord we get to know Him, and His oil can come to saturate us. When we minister out of the overflow of being with Him, the wineskin of our characters become strengthened so we can contain more of His new wine, more of His glory to touch people’s lives. We become purer vessels for Him to work through us as He refines us and burns away the dross out of our lives. Deuteronomy 10 8-9 says “The LORD set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister and to pronounce blessings in his name, as they still do today. 9 That is why the Levites have no share or inheritance among their brothers; the LORD is their inheritance, as the LORD your God told them.” Just as The Levites were consecrated to The Lord, so He wants us to be consecrated to Him, but we obtain the fullness of our inheritance when we do! We have an even more wonderful inheritance than the Levites had though and that is Jesus Christ and His fullness in our lives. Jesus came from the tribe of Judah. Let’s look at Hebrews 7 verses 14-16 “For it is evident that our Lord arose from Judah, of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.15 And it is yet far more evident if, in the likeness of Melchizedek, there arises another priest 16 who has come, not according to the law of a fleshly commandment, but according to the power of an endless life.” Is there a limit to the power that He wants to pour through us? No, but the key is intimacy and consecration. With intimacy comes trust, and trust releases faith to see The Lord break through into people’s lives. I do want to stress again though that we are all works in progress, we all fall short, I know I certainly do, but God can still use us to win the lost through His miraculous touch on people so we shouldn’t come up with excuses to not go after the great harvest of lost souls that need Jesus.

When God is our inheritance we can trust Him to meet all our needs (Philippians 4 verse 19). We have seen the global economy crash. We can’t put our trust in world systems. In fact world events point to Jesus coming soon. Those secure in God will have their needs met. Matthew 6 verse 33 says “Seek first The Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.” I believe that we will soon see a wealth transfer to the body of Christ (Proverbs 13 verse 22). Tithing and giving into good soil are essential at this time therefore.

Summary: Our highest calling is to minister to Him. Ministering to people is good, but it should never compete with our ministry to Him which is worship, especially the lifestyle of worshipful consecration to Him through intimate relationship. When we put Him first we discover how much His heart beats for His lost children. With intimacy comes more of His presence in our lives. So we can expect to see an increase in signs, wonders, and miracles because The King of Kings is abiding in us, working through us, and for Him absolutely nothing is impossible!

The next great outpouring and revival : let it be you!

September 28, 2008

It is right that we go and drink from the well where God is pouring out His Spirit. Isaiah 55 verse 1 says “he that thirsts come to the waters.” We can get refreshed, touched by God, healed, sanctified, drawn closer to Him, and receive a fresh impartation to carry away. TACF Toronto Canada, Ignited Church Lakeland USA and Revival Fires Dudley England are all places where God is still pouring out His Spirit powerfully and I would highly recommend going to meetings there. What we have to avoid though is just going from conference to conference, church to church, one location to another, and wait for the “next big thing” that we can all get excited about, and even the next great high profile charismatic leader that we can all follow passively.

What if the next big thing to hit the church is the body of Christ rising up to take dominion over the kingdom of darkness, pursuing God passionately, and bringing God’s Kingdom and glory to the unsaved to see mass worldwide harvest. This might not get much media interest initially. It might not even involve much of the well known high profile names. It may not even be focused in one church, one city, one region or even one nation. Could it be that what God has poured out over the last fifteen years he wants the church to do something with now? Can we be so sure that we still have decades left before Jesus calls His church home with so many end time prophetic signs in place now (see Matthew 24)? Romans 8 verse 19 says “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” The well known evangelists and high profile churches cannot save the whole world on their own! Is moving in signs wonders and miracles limited to the likes of Todd Bentley and Benny Hinn? No, it is for us all. We can all experience personal revival as God consumes our hearts with His fire, we can all drink from His river, we can all pray for the sick and expect to see miracles, and we can all share the gospel. Moreover, Jesus commands us to do so in Matthew 10 verses 7-8.

This blog with its video footage of healings, miracles and testimonies is here to show you that you don’t have to be anybody special to adminster The Kingdom. I’m just a member of a church, I haven’t preached to crowds in crusades, I just go out and share my faith one to one because I love Jesus, and I love seeing people get set free by The Lord, and ultimately come into relationship with Him that will transform their lives so positively, and shape their eternal destiny. If I can do it, you can too. Each one of us has a different sphere of influence, but we can all make a difference. This blog is not really about me so much as its about The Lord Jesus Christ and what He wants to do in the coming days throughout the world through His body on the earth today, the church. He wants to use every one of us to be “a history maker” as the song says! We can be nation changers for Christ. That starts through personal transformation as we yield our hearts to God, and then allowing Him to use us as vessels to touch people’s lives. God’s looking for an end-time army of laid down lovers with a passion for Jesus and for the lost who will be overcomers, laying down their lives, their own ambitions and agendas for the cause of Christ.

In Matthew 9 verses 37-38 Jesus says “The harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few; pray ye therefore The Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth labourers into His harvest.” Who are those labourers? You and I! If you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, if you are born again you already qualify to be used to bring people to Christ through a demonstration of The Spirit’s power. Of course there are keys to grow in the anointing which I touched in my article last week, but no one should disqualify themselves, God wants to use us all! Remember that as born again believers we carry the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead (Romans 8 verse 11), and Christ in us the hope of glory (Colossians 1 verse 27). As we lay down our lives at the feet of The Master and become fully immersed in Him, so like costly alabaster He can pour us out because His fragrance, His oil will impact people. In a very real sense we then become God’s outpouring to touch the world. Consequently we then carry the spirit of revival, His very glory to release revival wherever we go. Let’s look for divine appointments to share God’s love and power with people, and not doubt what He wants to do through each one of us!

Firestorm hits Revival Fires Dudley , God TV, and touches the nations

September 24, 2008

1) Street evangelism in Dudley September 18th 2008
2) The Firestorm Gathering Revival Fires Dudley September 18th-23rd 2008
3) Street evangelism in Dudley September 23rd 2008

1) September 18th: It’s been long overdue, but the sun came out, and just before the first session of the Firestorm Gathering I went into town to pray and share Jesus Christ with people. Prophetic and presence evangelism helped me to lead two young men through the prayer of salvation. In other words, God gave me information that I couldn’t have known in the natural, and as I laid my hands on them they felt the tangible presence of God. This softened their hearts to The Lord to receive Him into their lives. I also had the opportunity to tell people about the God TV broadcasts of The Dudley outpouring from our church. I saw a group of young people sitting on a bench in the middle of town, and asked them if any of them wanted prayer. Most of them were very sceptical about God. It was challenging because the young people were asking a lot of difficult questions. Through the prophetic I was able to get their attention. Also I told them that if they gave me the opportunity to pray for them, that at least some of them would tangibly feel God’s presence. Sometimes you have to take a risk, God will reward your step of faith!

Also, one young man had a problem with his hand. He challenged me about whether God is real. My concern was that he wasn’t open enough to receive prayer, and God wouldn’t do anything. How wrong I was! God is sovereign and he will break through when he wants to without anyone’s help or hindrance! His love and power touched the young man and healed his hand. I saw that one young woman was an artist and spoke that out. While I didn’t lead any of that group to Christ, I believe I sowed enough seeds for those hungry to pursue God more, and I hope and pray that they will go to our church or another good church in due time. One thing I will say is that I detected a shift in the atmosphere, and it wasn’t just because of the weather. I believe that in Dudley God is softening the spiritual ground, hearts are opening up, and I believe that we will see more miracles on the streets, including salvations, but more than that there will be significant church growth as the harvest of souls are gathered in. You can believe that for your town as well.

2) The Firestorm Gathering Revival Fires Church Dudley September 18th-23rd 2008

It might not be easy to summarize this tumultuous event, other than to say that The Lord is breathing on His church, the igniting and refining fires are cleansing the body of Christ, signs wonders and miracles are returning, and the rain is now going to fall for mass harvest.

The meetings opened with Kevin Prosch leading a time of powerful prophetic worship. Trevor Baker, senior leader of my church had a word about biopsies, and one viewer emailed in to say that that word of knowledge was for them, a lump just disappeared, and they got miraculously healed! People watched the meetings from many nations including countries in continental Africa, Europe, New Zealand, India, Japan, Kuwait, USA, and many more! On the second night during the worship a powerful drumbeat ushered in a time of warfare type worship, and I felt that something had broken in The Spirit. The glory fell, and there were some glorious miracle healings that night and the following night including freedom from eyesight defects, tinnitus, arthritis, leg pain, and a number of other serious conditions. Keith Miller spoke during these meetings about the fire for harvest, and it really felt like Lakeland had broken out all over again! Keith moved powerfully in the prophetic and in the gift of healing, and as well as inspiring many viewers and delegates, he imparted the fire that we all need to carry the gospel to the lost. It really was a blessing to have Kevin and Keith minister during the first half of the Firestorm Gathering.

Many people received healing during the Gathering. Here is just one of the many testimonies of healing miracles on video, an excerpt from one of the God TV broadcasts:

I also want to say that there were awesome times of worship lead by Sharon Baker, and Ryan Baker-Barnes that helped lead people into God’s glory presence. Both Sharon and Ryan are excellent songwriters, and I highly recommend their anointed worship songs for your church. You can get more details on youtube, The God TV broadcasts and the church website http://www.revivalfires.org.uk You can also purchase songbooks with these worship songs.

On Sunday morning Trevor stated that signs, wonders, and miracles are needed for great harvest in our nation of the UK. People are tired of sterile religion, and they want something real. He also emphasised the importance of character and integrity . In the evening it was Ken Gott’s turn to speak, and the emphasis was on the importance of prayer and no compromise. Ken’s church in Sunderland has a 24-7 prayer facility.

On Monday Mark Stibbe gave an excellent talk from Mark 1 9-15 drawing parallels between what Jesus experienced at the start of his earthly ministry, and the church has in the past 14 years. Verse 11 contains the words of The Father to Jesus as he has got baptised in the Jordan “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Mark described this as the revelation in the river which he likened to 1994 when The Father’s blessing hit Toronto and moved around the world. In other words, before anything else, the church needed to know how much God loved them. We can only give away what we ourselves have first received. What is important to remember though is that moving away from performance mentality to having true identity as a child of God takes time, and I believe that all of us can go deeper in that wonderful revelation of sonship.

Secondly, Mark talked about Jesus’s temptation in the wilderness (verses 13-14). In the wilderness our character is defined. We can allow God to refine our hearts through trials. Mark spoke very candidly about this period of his life. This church phase he said was the “devil in the desert.” Finally, the third phase is “the glory in Galilee.” In verse 14 we read that Jesus started his ministry in Galilee, preaching the gospel, and declaring The Kingdom of God. Mark said that with the Lakeland revival having an emphasis on imparting the fire for power evangelism and souls and going around the world it was time for breakout now! If you read my article just before this one, you’ll be able to appreciate that I agree with Mark, we still need the revelation in the river and the refining of our character even as we reach out to the lost.

On the final morning, Ken Gott talked about the need for the whole of the body of Christ to be released into ministering the gospel to the unsaved. He referred to healing on the streets, and even special meetings at people’s houses where people can get healed and saved. One example of this was a brain tumour healed at an elderly couple’s house. If you read this blog and see the video testimonies of healings and miracles you will know that I have a passionate heart for healing on the streets as a very important tool in evangelism. I like the idea of an official council sanctioned regular healing on the streets event in town, taking the full gospel out there for the purpose of showing people how much Jesus loves them through the demonstration of The Spirit’s power. We also need God to use us to touch our unsaved family members and friends, workplace colleagues, and others in our sphere of influence.

The very last session saw intimate worship again lead into a time of miracle healings. Trevor talked about the importance of relationship and friendship to carry the anointing, and said that Lakeland had not finished properly, and the firestorm that has come to Dudley is for Europe and the world, and ultimately we need the rain now for harvest. Trevor referred to Joshua 3 verse 15 with The “Jordan overflowing all its banks during the whole time of harvest.” This scripture has been close to my heart for a long time now, and I believe it is prophetic for the future of my own life, my wife, and our children, but also the body of Christ. In Exodus 33 verse 15 Moses says “If Your presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.” As I go to the streets that is my cry: “Lord, without You, without Your presence I can achieve nothing so fill me with more of You!” In John 15 verse 5 Jesus says ” I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” His presence, His glory changes everything. Our own strength, our own resources are useless to change communities and nations for the glory of God. The good news is that God is pouring out His Spirit in these days, and I believe that we will see more miracles and mass harvest as a result!

3) On the final afternoon of the Firestorm Gathering, September 23rd, I went out into Dudley to minister to people. I approached one young man, and The Lord told me he was a musician who has struggled with a number of issues. I spoke into his life. It turned out that he had a problem with his legs as a result of a car accident a number of years ago. Not only that, but he has suffered with M.S. for a while now. Two french men who had been attending The Firestorm were there, and we all prayed for this young man. He felt the healing presence of God upon him, but most of all the tangible presence of the love of God. I invited him to have coffee in our church coffee shop. He had a few errands to do, but called me later, and we met just outside the church. A friend ran into him, and I spoke prophetic destiny into that young man too. The reality is that both of them have been struggling with addiction. I was able to pray for his friend, and as I did so he felt the manifest presence of God. This is such a key. Wouldn’t it be great if we carried so much of God that even just shaking the hand of an unbeliever caused them to experience God’s glory. It can get even better than that. The very shadow of Peter’s presence caused people to be healed. We can believe for those realms to open up for us in these end days if we really press into God!

The first young man and his friend came into the coffee shop and we had a drink there and I prayed for them again. I lead them both through the prayer of salvation. This was an encouragement, because my prayer has been that people won’t just get an encounter outside the church, but inside! Pray that these two young men would come back, their lives will be transformed, and they will both be free of their addictions.

What a time to press deeper into God, and share the gospel with people in all its fullness. I want to give three quick keys to move in miracles:

1) Intimacy with God in the secret place as we allow Him to touch our hearts.

2) Receiving impartation where God’s glory is, and being in relationship with someone who carries the anointing for miracles.

3) Stepping out in faith and praying for many people who are in need of healing. I believe that as we pray for the unsaved especially, God loves to back up His Word with a demonstration of His manifest power.
