The UK: Convergence in the year of jubilee

May 23, 2016

2nd May 2016 was a convergence of two great sporting achievements for Leicester in the UK, not just their unlikely Premiership title, but Mark Selby, a Leicester snooker player winning the world championship.

There are two rivers that converge in south Leicester, the river Soar and river Sence. These names mean flow and holy/saintly respectively. The convergence occurs at Jubilee park.

There’s been much talk about the fourth wave of the Spirit having started and going global, with this move representing a convergence of past moves of the Spirit and starting in the Hebrew Jubilee year.

The rivers Soar and Sence are tributaries going into the river Trent the name meaning a river prone to flooding.

In 1934 Arthur Burt had a prophecy about a flood of the Spirit with no ebb that he would see the start of in his lifetime. He passed away in 2014.

Leicester city’s stadium is called King Power and sits aside the banks of the River Soar. Leicester has been dubbed the city of kings. Significantly after centuries the bones of King Richard lll were discovered in a car park in Leicester. This happened in August 2012 a month after the bells rang out in July 2012 for the Queen’s Diamond jubilee and the London Olympics ushering in prophetic words for the UK.

The fourth wave of the Spirit with its convergence of past moves will usher in a kingly anointing as God moves in power through His Church to bring in a great harvest. In this generation God is restoring what has been hidden for centuries. It’s time for the church to arise as kings and priests demonstrating the power of the King of Kings in a time of unprecedented convergence!

The Overflow of Intimacy in a Company of Believers

April 15, 2014

True ministry has been well described as the overflow of intimacy. What does that really look like? It is a lot more than operating in natural talents and even spiritual gifts. Someone may have come into a gift of The Spirit such as the working of miracles following a time when they were pressing into God in right relationship with pure heart motives, and yet that person’s relationship with God could now be lukewarm at best or they could even be in serious sin. Yet still the gifting flows because “the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.” (Romans 11: 29)

As a number of important prophetic voices have enunciated recently we are at the threshold of the greatest outpouring of God’s Spirit in history, and the true Church’s finest hour to be God’s instrument to bring in a great end time harvest of souls. The preparation process in those believers who have yielded to God has been painful at times but necessary to remove all that would hinder Jesus Christ being the “fulness of Him who fills all in all” (Ephesians 1: 23) through them. New levels of His love, purity, holiness, faith, and humility have been required.

It is easy for a non believer to be impressed with gifts such as prophecy, the word of knowledge, healing and miracles but it will not change them unless they know in their heart that they have had an encounter with Jesus. The world has seen double standards and mixed motives at times when what they have been really seeking is Jesus Himself! That’s why the healing of the lame man in Acts 3 at the Gate Beautiful had such an impact. The key is in Acts 4:13 when the Sanhedrin realized that Peter and John “had been with Jesus.”

It is possible to get more excited about supernatural phenomena that is an outward manifestation of the “parousia,” (greek) the presence of The Lord than The Lord Himself. This could have contributed to revivals being shut down in history when people got caught up with the evangelist and the miracles rather than God. Imagine for a moment that like Peter you were walking on water but you were looking at Jesus. Would you get more excited about the fact you were walking on water or you were looking at the face of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself? Who or what do we treasure most?

God is getting ready to give a new level of “exousia” (greek) which is delegated power and authority to a company of believers to represent Jesus to the world. I believe this has always been God’s desire as we see from John 17:

And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” John 17 22-23

John had the unique privilege to share this most profound prayer of Jesus for His true bride to be in union with Him. It is no surprise that we learn that John was the beloved disciple who rested his head on Jesus’ chest. He would have been able to hear Jesus’ heartbeat, and if Jesus spoke His voice would have resonated through His very being. Being close to The Lord can mean that we not only hear His voice and respond in obedience, but capture something of His very heart. Hearing His voice through a deeper relationship with Him means that God will use the prophetic in a new way. Similarly if we have a fresh passion to see lost souls come home and faith for miracles it is because this is also an outworking of our intimacy with Him.

When we are abandoned to Him we are no longer swayed by either the praise or persecution of man but only His voice. We obey Him in pursuing the assignments and mandates He has for us corporately and within our unique ministry callings out of our love for Him only (John 14:15)

When we adore Him and are fascinated with Him we become desperate for more of Him. In the words of the Shulamite in Song of Solomon we become “lovesick” (5:8) He has truly captured our hearts, now we have surrendered to Him, and He can use us as vessels that are fully possessed by Him and ready to do more than function in gifting but display Him in character, nature, power and virtue. Forerunners such as William Branham and Katherine Kulhman have epitomized what God has planned for His people. He will not just use great high profile evangelists like Benny Hinn and Reinhard Bonnke, but everyday believers like you and me in these exciting days ahead. Holy Spirit abides in every believer, but there is a company who have prepared a home for Christ to dwell in so there is a greater fulness of His anointing activated and expressed to demonstrate the gospel (1 Corinthians 2 4-5) In 1 John 3 24 we learn an important truth:

Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

The English monk Bede 672/673-735 AD helped to translate portions of the Bible from Latin into Old English centuries before Wycliffe and Tyndale. The Amplified Bible has used his translation of part of this same verse:

They let Christ be a home to them and they are the home of Christ.

How much will you and I allow that to happen and see the impossible birthed through the overflow of intimacy?

How big is the universe? The awesome glory of God revealed.

October 22, 2008

This picture taken by NASA is of the Eagle Nebula. Can you see Jesus Christ in it? What about the core of this galaxy M51 1100 light years away taken by the hubble telescope and below that the cone nebula? These are actual photographs taken from outer space:

Psalm 19 verse 1: “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament shows His handiwork.”

As we enter the last days before the return of Jesus Christ, God is speaking to us through signs, wonders, and miracles. He is revealing something of His majesty and glory to us, and the reality of who He truly is. Through modern technology we are able to glimpse further into the cosmos and make startling new discoveries, and see formations of indescribable awe and beauty. Sometimes we need to be reminded how amazing, awesome, uncontainable, indescribable, all powerful, supreme, sovereign, and truly wonderful beyond human imagination our God is!

Let’s consider the known universe. The distance from Earth to Pluto is approximately 4,000,000,000 miles. It takes about five hours for Pluto’s light to travel to Earth. Our nearest star Alpha Centauri is over 4 light years away! In other words, if we travelled in a hypothetical light rocket next year at midnight January 1st, we would reach Pluto by about 5am the same day. We wouldn’t get to our nearest star until April 19th over four years later! It is estimated that our own galaxy The Milky Way contains at least 200 billion stars! Our nearest galaxy the Andromeda galaxy is 2.5 million light years away and estimated to contain about one trillion stars! We can even see the Andromeda galaxy with the naked eye on a clear night, a faint small blur to us here, but its sheer vastness can barely be put into words.

In fact there are countless galaxies out there, whole clusters of galaxies literally millions of light years across in diameter have been discovered. 1 Corinthians 15 verse 41 says: “There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another in glory.” We cannot begin to imagine the size of the known universe. In 1999 the Hubble Space Telescope estimated that there were 125 billion galaxies in the universe, but there could be many more than that. According to scientists, the visible universe is a sphere with a diameter of about 92 billion light-years! There are enough stars out there in the observable universe for each human being, all 6 billion and more of us to be assigned 2,000,000,000,000 (2 trillion) stars each! Let’s not forget too that what is observable or visible is limited currently, but with new improved technology I believe we will make new staggering discoveries!

To think that The Creator, The Supreme Being of The Universe wants to know us, loves us passionately, came into the world to die for us, gave His Word to us, and IS LOVE (1 John 4: 8). So what does this have to do with  healing miracles? The answer is Everything! Luke 1 verse 37 says “With God nothing will be impossible.” God wants to reside in you and me through His Spirit when we become born again through receiving Jesus Christ. When we do so, He deposits His glory in us, and we can have more! Do we deserve it? Of course not, but isn’t it wonderful that we can receive so much love, so much of HIM? The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead (Romans 8 verse 11) dwells in all born again believers. Is it asking too much then to believe that when we lay hands on the sick in obedience to His Word that they will recover? (Mark 16 verse 18). We have the privilege to give His love away to people who don’t know their Creator, the one who made the trillions of stars, and numerous galaxies.

Natural law is limited. His supernatural laws are not, because though He changes not, His power is unlimited. What is more, do we really know how much He loves us? The answer is more than we can imagine. Does He want to use us to pray for people so they can be miraculously healed? More than we want that ourselves. Is it because we are worthy to receive the anointing, or Jesus Christ is worthy to receive the glory and honour of His Kingdom advancing as precious souls are healed and saved? Surely the latter.

It’s not that we need to be seen, rather Jesus Christ needs to be seen, people need a revelation of Him to touch their hearts, and become children of the most wonderful loving Father in the entire universe, the very author of life itself. We should grasp something of the awesomeness of God so we can reverentially fear Him, while at the same time know that His love for us and others knows no bounds.

Firestorm hits Revival Fires Dudley , God TV, and touches the nations

September 24, 2008

1) Street evangelism in Dudley September 18th 2008
2) The Firestorm Gathering Revival Fires Dudley September 18th-23rd 2008
3) Street evangelism in Dudley September 23rd 2008

1) September 18th: It’s been long overdue, but the sun came out, and just before the first session of the Firestorm Gathering I went into town to pray and share Jesus Christ with people. Prophetic and presence evangelism helped me to lead two young men through the prayer of salvation. In other words, God gave me information that I couldn’t have known in the natural, and as I laid my hands on them they felt the tangible presence of God. This softened their hearts to The Lord to receive Him into their lives. I also had the opportunity to tell people about the God TV broadcasts of The Dudley outpouring from our church. I saw a group of young people sitting on a bench in the middle of town, and asked them if any of them wanted prayer. Most of them were very sceptical about God. It was challenging because the young people were asking a lot of difficult questions. Through the prophetic I was able to get their attention. Also I told them that if they gave me the opportunity to pray for them, that at least some of them would tangibly feel God’s presence. Sometimes you have to take a risk, God will reward your step of faith!

Also, one young man had a problem with his hand. He challenged me about whether God is real. My concern was that he wasn’t open enough to receive prayer, and God wouldn’t do anything. How wrong I was! God is sovereign and he will break through when he wants to without anyone’s help or hindrance! His love and power touched the young man and healed his hand. I saw that one young woman was an artist and spoke that out. While I didn’t lead any of that group to Christ, I believe I sowed enough seeds for those hungry to pursue God more, and I hope and pray that they will go to our church or another good church in due time. One thing I will say is that I detected a shift in the atmosphere, and it wasn’t just because of the weather. I believe that in Dudley God is softening the spiritual ground, hearts are opening up, and I believe that we will see more miracles on the streets, including salvations, but more than that there will be significant church growth as the harvest of souls are gathered in. You can believe that for your town as well.

2) The Firestorm Gathering Revival Fires Church Dudley September 18th-23rd 2008

It might not be easy to summarize this tumultuous event, other than to say that The Lord is breathing on His church, the igniting and refining fires are cleansing the body of Christ, signs wonders and miracles are returning, and the rain is now going to fall for mass harvest.

The meetings opened with Kevin Prosch leading a time of powerful prophetic worship. Trevor Baker, senior leader of my church had a word about biopsies, and one viewer emailed in to say that that word of knowledge was for them, a lump just disappeared, and they got miraculously healed! People watched the meetings from many nations including countries in continental Africa, Europe, New Zealand, India, Japan, Kuwait, USA, and many more! On the second night during the worship a powerful drumbeat ushered in a time of warfare type worship, and I felt that something had broken in The Spirit. The glory fell, and there were some glorious miracle healings that night and the following night including freedom from eyesight defects, tinnitus, arthritis, leg pain, and a number of other serious conditions. Keith Miller spoke during these meetings about the fire for harvest, and it really felt like Lakeland had broken out all over again! Keith moved powerfully in the prophetic and in the gift of healing, and as well as inspiring many viewers and delegates, he imparted the fire that we all need to carry the gospel to the lost. It really was a blessing to have Kevin and Keith minister during the first half of the Firestorm Gathering.

Many people received healing during the Gathering. Here is just one of the many testimonies of healing miracles on video, an excerpt from one of the God TV broadcasts:

I also want to say that there were awesome times of worship lead by Sharon Baker, and Ryan Baker-Barnes that helped lead people into God’s glory presence. Both Sharon and Ryan are excellent songwriters, and I highly recommend their anointed worship songs for your church. You can get more details on youtube, The God TV broadcasts and the church website http://www.revivalfires.org.uk You can also purchase songbooks with these worship songs.

On Sunday morning Trevor stated that signs, wonders, and miracles are needed for great harvest in our nation of the UK. People are tired of sterile religion, and they want something real. He also emphasised the importance of character and integrity . In the evening it was Ken Gott’s turn to speak, and the emphasis was on the importance of prayer and no compromise. Ken’s church in Sunderland has a 24-7 prayer facility.

On Monday Mark Stibbe gave an excellent talk from Mark 1 9-15 drawing parallels between what Jesus experienced at the start of his earthly ministry, and the church has in the past 14 years. Verse 11 contains the words of The Father to Jesus as he has got baptised in the Jordan “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Mark described this as the revelation in the river which he likened to 1994 when The Father’s blessing hit Toronto and moved around the world. In other words, before anything else, the church needed to know how much God loved them. We can only give away what we ourselves have first received. What is important to remember though is that moving away from performance mentality to having true identity as a child of God takes time, and I believe that all of us can go deeper in that wonderful revelation of sonship.

Secondly, Mark talked about Jesus’s temptation in the wilderness (verses 13-14). In the wilderness our character is defined. We can allow God to refine our hearts through trials. Mark spoke very candidly about this period of his life. This church phase he said was the “devil in the desert.” Finally, the third phase is “the glory in Galilee.” In verse 14 we read that Jesus started his ministry in Galilee, preaching the gospel, and declaring The Kingdom of God. Mark said that with the Lakeland revival having an emphasis on imparting the fire for power evangelism and souls and going around the world it was time for breakout now! If you read my article just before this one, you’ll be able to appreciate that I agree with Mark, we still need the revelation in the river and the refining of our character even as we reach out to the lost.

On the final morning, Ken Gott talked about the need for the whole of the body of Christ to be released into ministering the gospel to the unsaved. He referred to healing on the streets, and even special meetings at people’s houses where people can get healed and saved. One example of this was a brain tumour healed at an elderly couple’s house. If you read this blog and see the video testimonies of healings and miracles you will know that I have a passionate heart for healing on the streets as a very important tool in evangelism. I like the idea of an official council sanctioned regular healing on the streets event in town, taking the full gospel out there for the purpose of showing people how much Jesus loves them through the demonstration of The Spirit’s power. We also need God to use us to touch our unsaved family members and friends, workplace colleagues, and others in our sphere of influence.

The very last session saw intimate worship again lead into a time of miracle healings. Trevor talked about the importance of relationship and friendship to carry the anointing, and said that Lakeland had not finished properly, and the firestorm that has come to Dudley is for Europe and the world, and ultimately we need the rain now for harvest. Trevor referred to Joshua 3 verse 15 with The “Jordan overflowing all its banks during the whole time of harvest.” This scripture has been close to my heart for a long time now, and I believe it is prophetic for the future of my own life, my wife, and our children, but also the body of Christ. In Exodus 33 verse 15 Moses says “If Your presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.” As I go to the streets that is my cry: “Lord, without You, without Your presence I can achieve nothing so fill me with more of You!” In John 15 verse 5 Jesus says ” I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” His presence, His glory changes everything. Our own strength, our own resources are useless to change communities and nations for the glory of God. The good news is that God is pouring out His Spirit in these days, and I believe that we will see more miracles and mass harvest as a result!

3) On the final afternoon of the Firestorm Gathering, September 23rd, I went out into Dudley to minister to people. I approached one young man, and The Lord told me he was a musician who has struggled with a number of issues. I spoke into his life. It turned out that he had a problem with his legs as a result of a car accident a number of years ago. Not only that, but he has suffered with M.S. for a while now. Two french men who had been attending The Firestorm were there, and we all prayed for this young man. He felt the healing presence of God upon him, but most of all the tangible presence of the love of God. I invited him to have coffee in our church coffee shop. He had a few errands to do, but called me later, and we met just outside the church. A friend ran into him, and I spoke prophetic destiny into that young man too. The reality is that both of them have been struggling with addiction. I was able to pray for his friend, and as I did so he felt the manifest presence of God. This is such a key. Wouldn’t it be great if we carried so much of God that even just shaking the hand of an unbeliever caused them to experience God’s glory. It can get even better than that. The very shadow of Peter’s presence caused people to be healed. We can believe for those realms to open up for us in these end days if we really press into God!

The first young man and his friend came into the coffee shop and we had a drink there and I prayed for them again. I lead them both through the prayer of salvation. This was an encouragement, because my prayer has been that people won’t just get an encounter outside the church, but inside! Pray that these two young men would come back, their lives will be transformed, and they will both be free of their addictions.

What a time to press deeper into God, and share the gospel with people in all its fullness. I want to give three quick keys to move in miracles:

1) Intimacy with God in the secret place as we allow Him to touch our hearts.

2) Receiving impartation where God’s glory is, and being in relationship with someone who carries the anointing for miracles.

3) Stepping out in faith and praying for many people who are in need of healing. I believe that as we pray for the unsaved especially, God loves to back up His Word with a demonstration of His manifest power.

Testimony of miracle healing, more miracle healing, and salvations!

July 10, 2008

I went into town today to share the love and power of Jesus Christ. It was a bit rainy, but I wasn’t going to be discouraged! It had been nearly a week since I had ministered in town, and having watched the God Channel and Todd Bentley’s excellent teaching, I was impressed that it’s easy to let things slide and even loose the sharpness if you don’t continue to press in by sharing His love and miracle working power with people in need of His touch. I’ve been going through a difficult time lately, but God has been really encouraging me to continue to minister in town.
It turned out to be an excellent day, and I give God all the glory for that. My first contact was with John, a man who had been tangibly healed in town of arthritis in his upper body (see blog entry of May 15th 2008). He testified that he has been fine since! This encouraged me because people can lose their healings if they doubt or they don’t give Jesus the glory. He told me he did have arthritis in his knees though, so I prayed and The Lord touched him. He felt heat, and the pain left him. Again, he could do something he couldn’t do before without feeling pain. See this:

I then happened to meet a 72 year old lady Dorothy who I found out was staying here for a week for our outpouring meetings here at our church. She was encouraged to go off and witness to people, and she personally lead 3 people to Jesus Christ!
I then saw a teenage young man with a hearing aid, and felt lead to talk to him. I asked him if he wanted prayer. He did want prayer, so I laid my hands on his ears and commanded deafness to leave him. I got some prayer support from Dorothy also. I checked his hearing before the prayer, and it was poor. In fact he had been like that ever since the age of four. He took his hearing aid off before prayer, and told me he hadn’t brought his other hearing aid which he needed because of pain in that ear.
He told me he felt the power of God, and his hearing improved. I prayed again for the fire of God to touch him. Again he felt God, and his hearing was getting better and better! I even stood a distance away, covered my mouth with my hand so he couldn’t lipread, and he could hear me. Not only that but he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. I encouraged him to go to our church. Please pray that he does!
This is what this outpouring is all about, this revival that started in Lakeland, Florida, taking the fire of God outside the church and through the love of Jesus Christ, and the demonstration of The Spirit’s power seeing the lost come home. It’s all about Jesus. As I said in my video, I want people to focus on Jesus. I’m just an individual with no platform ministry, there is nothing any more special about me than anyone else in the body of Christ. God wants to encourage Christians to go out and share Jesus , pray for the sick, and expect to see Him move in people’s lives for His glory. If I can do it, anyone can! If you are not a Christian, and you’ve seen enough to show you that He is real, then why not get right with God now. Jesus paid the price for your sins by dying on a cross so that you will not be judged and have to face eternal separation from God in Hell. Give your life to Jesus Christ, and repent from your sins. Then find a good church to go to, read your bible, pray everyday, and step into the destiny that God has for your life.

Dudley healing testimony through street ministry

June 20, 2008

I ministered in the streets very briefly today, and prayed for a couple of people who needed physical healing. One woman, a Christian who had suffered from a number of conditions felt definite improvement today.

I attended the evening meeting Day 54 of The Dudley Outpouring at Revival Fires Church and ministered in the chatroom. Tonight there were many miracle healings. One lady testified that her knee was healed, black spots (“floaters”) impairing her eye were fading so she could see better! Another lady testified of feeling fire and lumps on her leg were getting smaller, IBS was healed, and varicose veins were disappearing! One person got born again, and two rededicated their life to Christ on the internet, and there were commitments in the meeting too! If you haven’t come down to one of our daily evening meetings yet to receive a healing anointing impartation, or need a miracle in your body, then don’t delay, come get some in Dudley! See revivalfires.org.uk for more details, including some powerful miracle testimonies.

Hindu lady gets healed and saved in Dudley

June 18, 2008

I was encouraged last Sunday by the appearance at our morning meeting of a man who I had ministered to on the streets with my friend Simon some weeks ago. He told me he wanted to join our church family.
Today Wednesday 18th June I went into Dudley town centre. A man came up to me who I had prayed for on the streets some weeks ago testifying that he was totally healed of psoriasis. When I had prayed for him I could see the evidence of the condition on his head and he had been irritated with it for some time. Now it has clearly gone! He was telling people about what I do and Revival Fires Church and told me that he appreciates the work we are doing. He is a believer, and above all else I hope he appreciates what The Lord has done for him because it is all about what He is doing in our lives. To Jesus be all the praise and glory!
I got chatting with an elderly Hindu lady and her daughter. I prayed for her to be healed of arthritis which she was suffering from in her legs and back. I prayed the fire of God would touch her and the pain left her. She testified to feeling warmth when I prayed for her, and even started shaking under the power of God. She also walked without the use of her crutch! See her and her daughter share the testimony of this healing:

The lady who was healed accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour. They offered me money, but I refused as I always do. I invited them to come to the church and gave them some literature to help her in her new walk with Christ. My prayer is that the daughter will get saved too, in fact why not the whole family! God is touching people of different faiths with the demonstration of His love and power. More people are finding out about what is happening on the streets, and in the Outpouring meetings in our church which have now reached Day 53 of consecutive meetings.
