I talked to an elderly gentleman in town today March 27th for longer than I think I have spoken to anyone in the streets. He had a terminal condition connected with his lungs, and was still smoking despite struggling for breath. Because of past hurts he was not open to receiving prayer, but yet really wanted to talk. After about 20 minutes a church member, John who had been baptised the previous Sunday came up to us and I asked him to share his testimony. We both continued to share God’s love with him. Finally, as God touched his heart, he accept Jesus. He was then open to us praying for his healing. He had also been stone deaf in his right ear for 15 years. As we prayed, God clearly touched him. Not only did he feel the peace of God, but was able to hear somewhat out of that right ear. Praise God for His goodness! That same day God gave me words of knowledge for people. I had had a word of knowledge earlier that week about a young lady being a trainee hairdresser. Today God put a certain year on my heart for a man that I was ministering to over a cup of coffee. He told me that that year he had had a car accident, was on life support, and very nearly lost his life. I am praying that God would give me more detailed information. It really does demonstrate the reality of God to people. The gifts of the Spirit are our inheritance in Christ, but we need to press in to receive all that He has for us to glorify His name, and see His Kingdom extended.

I wanted to go out on the streets sharing Christ today because it was the day before Easter Sunday, and I could be more relevant to people in sharing the gospel this weekend. I was able to share with a 16 year old young man about God wanting to restore lost fatherhood. He confirmed that his earthly father had walked out on him. God gave me more prophetically, and he accepted The Lord Jesus Christ into his life. I lead an older lady to Christ asking her if she was ready to meet The Lord when she dies. Many don’t know if they are good enough to go to Heaven, and some mistakenly think that they are outside of the gift of salvation in Jesus Christ. Sometimes just telling people the simple gospel message is enough to convict them of their need for Jesus. Salvation is the greatest miracle.
I prayed for a lady with arthritis. She told me that her pain level went from 7/10 to 4/10 As a result of the demonstration of the Spirit and power she was convicted by The Holy Spirit to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. When I prayed for her again she testified that the pain was as good as gone. “By His stripes we are healed.”
I prayed for a Christian lady who had been stone deaf for 10 years in her right ear. She testified that a warmth and tingling occured, her ear popped, and she could hear out of it. She also testified of improvement in her left ear which had a hearing aid. What had helped her was her faith because she had recently been healed by God of glaucoma. This encouraged me to pray in faith too! I also had the privilege of leading a young man to Christ this day as well. God is so wonderful! All the glory to Him for what He has done.
UPDATE: I met this lady about two weeks later, and she shared her testimony. See this:
I went out into town with a friend, David, who had come to India with me. Although many people didn’t want to talk, some did, we got to pray for one man with breathing problems who experienced improvement, and ministered to a 90 year old lady who was a catholic. She wasn’t sure about whether she was going to Heaven, so we shared the gospel, and she accepted Christ.
